SIMONA VENSLOVAITE studied violin in her hometown Pasavalys (Lithuania) and at the National School of Arts M. K. Ciurlionis in Vilnius. She completed her violin studies at the Vilnius Academy of Music and Theatre in 2011 (violin class Prof. U. Jagelaite) and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in chamber music from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in the class of Prof. Johannes Meissl. Simona Venslovaite is a laureate of many national and international competitions. As a soloist and member of chamber ensembles she has performed in Lithuania, Latvia, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden, France and England, among others. After her appointment as violinist in the Vilnius Šv. Kristoforas Chamber Orchestra, she was a member of the Kremerata Baltica from 2011 to 2015, before joining the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra as first violinist from 2016 to 2018.  She is a member of the „Ensemble XX. Jahrhundert“ for Contemporary Music in Vienna and has been a permanent member of the Munich Chamber Orchestra since 2018.
